Master 10 Social Media Marketing Areas: Top AI Prompts for Beginners
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has taken center stage. It's not just a buzzword but a fundamental shift in how dealerships can engage with their community and customers, especially on social media platforms. The power of AI lies in its ability to transform vast amounts of data into meaningful insights, streamline marketing operations, and bring a personal touch to customer interactions at scale.
AI is like having a super-powered marketing assistant that helps you to craft content that resonates, engage with your audience effectively, and optimize your strategies in real-time
Using AI prompts in dealership social media marketing can significantly streamline your workflow and enhance your content strategy. Not to mention, save you a heck of a lot of time.
It's crucial to navigate this space thoughtfully to avoid pitfalls that could tarnish the dealership’s image or alienate your fans and followers.
It’s easy to make mistakes when using anything new, and the answers AI provides can be wrong. Take precautions when using AI for this reason.
- Resist the urge to simply copy and paste, especially the emojis AI often uses. It’s a dead giveaway that you’re using AI.
- Don’t over-rely on generic answers that aren’t tailored to your specific customer. One word I see often in AI results is “delve.” Nobody uses delve in everyday conversations so if you get that response, use another word.
- Always verify any data or car business specific details before you post.
I've been using AI for over a year now. It was slow going in the beginning as I learned what I needed to do to get the best results (and I continue to learn).
AI tools have improved a lot in the last year and detailed, specific AI prompts remain the key to obtaining the best outcome.
I use AI for inspiration on blog posts, website copy, reimagining calls to action, email copywriting, social media ideas, and generating content ideas. Here are the platforms I've used so far:
- ChatGPT4.o (pronounced “four point oh”) (paid version $20/mo, 3.5 version is free)
- Claude (free and paid version $20/mo)
- Plugins for ChatGPT4 (yes, you can add plugins for all sorts of things including research PDFs). The plugin I like the best is Prompt Perfect - it helps you write prompts! It’s $20/mo.
- Perplexity (a great search tool that serves results often better than Google)
- Dall-e (comes with ChatGPT4.o. It’s an image creator, although I don’t recommend it for most situations because it’s just not ready)
- Midjourney (for images, better than Dall-e in many cases)
- Audience Builder Social Growth Tool. Specific for social media content.
If you (like many people) are apprehensive about AI and/or not sure exactly what it can do, or even if it's good for your store, I'm here to set your mind at rest and give you some tips from my journey so far.
My first tip is to refrain from avoiding AI, and instead start slow, be inquisitive and know that this tool is going to save you time in so many ways, you're literally not going to believe it.
Today, I'm sharing just one focus area of what I've learned: How to craft AI prompts to enhance your social media marketing.
